Zimbabwe Ambassador to India Mr Jonathan Wutawunashe recently announced that risk insurance coverage will be extended to farmers and agri equipment manufacturers who invest in Africa.
Mr Wutawunashe made the announcement at a conference organised by industry body Assocham called ‘Opportunities for Agriculture in Africa: Focus Punjab.’
He said the proposed risk insurance would be covered by leading African banks, including multilateral agency World Bank. Several African nations have already struck agreements with the World Bank for this purpose, Mr Wutawunahse added.
